Genetic algorithms for timbre synthesis
Fourier transforms of audio samples are decomposed and stochastically recombined into uniquely textured sounds, like hybrid instruments and fat 808s.

Single camera touch detection
The human finger blanch response is used as a contact signal. With a custom-trained CNN and object tracking, we can turn any surface into a touchpad with only one camera view.

While studying solid state physics, I worked in a lab assembling atomically thin structures. One device I helped make was used to demonstrate novel quantum states of matter.

Welcome to my personal website! My name is Alex Haochin Wang(王昊青)and I'm based in the California bay area. I am an engineer with a profession in embedded systems. My academic background is in experimental physics.
